76 Delegates For Malawi, Ghana Friendly Game
Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kwesi Nyantakyi is expected to take a delegation of 45 people to Swaziland for the friendly game against Malawi on Tuesday (Today)-Ghana's website, ghanaweb.
The two teams are expected to be accommodated at the plush Royal Villas and Lugogo Sun hotel where each room (double) costs over E1 000 ($136).
Malawi will be booked at Lugogo Sun hotel where each room costs E1 670($230) for doubles exclusive of lunch and supper.
Ghana will be booked at Royal Villas where a standard double room costs E1080($145) excluding lunch and supper.
Ghana’s accommodation bill comes up to E49340 ($6700) including the two suites to be occupied by GFA president, Nyantakyi and match agent, Justin Addo at a cost of E1450($200) per person per night.
However, the total figure is (E49 340) lunch and supper exclusive.
Ghana also also asked an unspecified percentage of the gate collections of the game.
The game will cost E50 per person to watch the game which is scheduled for a 7:30pm kick-off time this evening.
Meanwhile a meeting of finalising the financial implications of the deal is scheduled for today by the agents who are organising the game and the members of the 2010 Local 2010 Committee.
Apollo Maphalala, 2010 Committee Chief Operations Officer, confirmed that they will cover the accommodation expenses of the two teams.
Maphalala said:“The financial implications will be clarified when we meet tomorrow (today) but there will be no appearance fee because we only invited them to come and inspect our facilities and they then indicated they would love to play a friendly game.”
Maphalala further said that the gate collections from the game would be balanced up with accommodation expenses .
But he refused to comment on Ghana's demand on the percentage of the gate collections demanded saying it already highlighted in their proposal but at this stage they were still to meet and discuss the matter.
Malawi is expected to take only 31 people.
