"This defeat should be used as a lesson," says Algeria defender

Samir Zaoui, Algeria's international defender says they don't want to repeat the mistake they made on Monday in their opening match of the 27th Africa Cup of Nations where they were thrashed 3-0 by hungry Malawians.
Zaoui said this painful defeat should be used as a lesson and that they should not give up.

"This defeat has to be used as a lesson for the rest of the tournament. We mustn't give in, for this is only our first match in the competition. We must quickly focus on the next match against Mali to bounce back in this group (A),"  Samir Zaoui quoted by Algeria News Agency website.

Malawi who were regarded as minnows by some soccer analysts sent a warning to the world that they are really serious contenders who can beat any team and proved that respect is really needed in football.

Meanwhile some soccer Malawian fans are still in the streets celebrating Flame's sweet victory.
Malawi's next game will be on Thursday against Angola.
