Malawi national football team suffered a painfull 3-1 loss against hungry Mali at Camnida's Chiazi Stadium in the ongoing 2010 Africa Cup of Nations Tournament in Angola.
Fredric Kanoute and Seydou Keita separated the two sides in early three minutes into the game due to poor Flames defence and poor goal keeping for Swadick Sanudi.
The first half ended two nil in favour of Mali but Malawi got an equaliser in the 57th minute through Russsel Mafuliwa.
From there Malawi seemed to have dominated the most of the game but Russel Maluriwa missed alot of clear chances which would have led Malawi to sneak into the Afcon quarter finals for the first in their football history.
Mali's Mamadou Bagayoko sealed the victory in just six minutes to the final whistle before Russel missing a clear chance in injury time.
This results shows that both these two teams are out of the competetion if Algeria wins against Angola.
